The brilliant center stone is a 6.41 carat pink California Tourmaline, which is accented above and below by .06 carats in total of sparkling white diamonds. Strong vertical lines contrasted with the curve of the diamonds and tourmaline are reminiscent of California’s Getty Center, outside of L.A. Only 100 miles south of the Getty, in San Diego county, this tourmaline gem was mined! Pink tourmaline is said to be helpful to creatives, as it enhances insight and helps the wearer make new discoveries. Alchemists also believed that this gem was related to the Philosopher’s Stone.
