Adorned by one of the largest Anthill Garnets ever mined, this ring features a square radiant 2.90ct Arizona Anthill Garnet. It is extremely rare to see this type of garnet so large because it is actually mined by ants. When these insects are carving the tunnels for their home in the desert sand, the run into the rich red gem. In order to continue creating their homes, the ants will bring the garnet up to the surface and leave it on top of the sand. Only the garnet small enough to be carried by the ants is brought to the surface, which is why it is so rare to see the larger sizes. Additionally, there are 1.09cts of Arizona Garnet that is accented with 0.32carats of brilliant white diamonds. Throughout history, Garnet has been known as a stone of protection. It is also said to help one utilize its creative energy and promote the ability to work well.
