The feature stone is a 3.57ct Oregon Sunstone. Sunstones have a strong solar energy, so they embody within them the warmth, strength, and openness of the sun. According to Native American legend, the blood of a great warrior - wounded by an arrow - dropped onto pieces of Oregon Sunstone. The blood carried his warrior spirit into the stones, coloring them with shades of red and giving them sacred power. Adding an additional splash of color to this gorgeous piece is a .43ct bright sky blue Montana Sapphire. Sapphires have been appreciated as great gemstones since 800 BC. Rulers of ancient Persia believed the sky was painted blue by the reflection of sapphires. By wearing this pendant it will remind you of the open space, crystal breath air, and big sky of Montana.
